The Perpetual Results Waiter – CA Edition
If you know an Indian CA student, you know the phrase “result kab hai?” (when are the results?) is a permanent fixture in their vocabulary. For them, time is not measured in hours or days, but in “No. of days left till results.”
Time for these CAs? It’s more uncertain than “probable loss” in accounting. One minute they’re calm, the next minute they’re checking their phone, social media, CA forums, and WhatsApp—across ten devices—hoping for a magical ICAI announcement.
Family life? Everyone’s in suspense. The mom keeps Google on standby. The dad walks around quoting the latest pass percentage statistics. Even the neighbors know when the results are due—and keep asking, “Beta, any news?” If torture had a mascot, it would be the ICAI result portal.
Social media? A minefield of “expected result date,” “rumor from a friend’s uncle at ICAI,” and “how to handle result anxiety” threads. But gods help us, when the actual result is out, it’ll crash the server—and hearts—in one go.
CA friends in this phase? Won’t commit to plans: “Pakka milenge… bas result aa jaane do.” Vacations, weddings, and even birthdays are all “subject to result.”
Food and sleep? Irregular, unpredictable. Some set alarms for 2:00AM—because ICAI sometimes likes to drop results at the oddest hours. Sleep is like “elective papers”—optional.
Multilingual skills? They speak English, Hindi, regional languages, and fluent Refresh-Buttonese. Ctrl+R is their magic wand.
The CA Results Nod is special—it means, “I don’t know my fate, but I’m pretending to be chill.” Inside, it’s all turmoil; outside, just a zen smile (sometimes).
At the heart of it, those perpetually waiting for CA results are masters of suspense and hope, living in a suspense-thriller between “Pass ho jaa yaar… PLEASE!” and “Chalo, next attempt ki tayyari shuru!” But they’re also the most resilient bunch—you’ll never see patience, humor, and perseverance like this anywhere else.
If you survive the CA results wait, congratulations. You’re already halfway to being a legend—even before those two sacred letters come after your name!
